About Our Programs

Welcome to Karate International San Antonio! Our summer camp and after school programs are designed to provide children with an unforgettable experience filled with fun, learning, and adventure. We offer a diverse range of activities that cater to various interests, ensuring that every child finds something they love.

Our summer camp is run by a team of dedicated and experienced professionals who are passionate about creating a positive and enriching environment for children. We prioritize safety, engagement, and personal growth, ensuring that each camper has a memorable and impactful experience.

Our After School Program combines fun after school, with making friends and being active, from obstacle courses, fitness challenges, teamwork focused games, and time to be creative your kids will have an action packed afternoon.

About Our Staff

Summer Camp & After School Director

Ariana Reyes is our Summer Camp & After School Director here at Karate International San Antonio. Ms. Ariana has a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from St. Mary’s University. She has a masters degree in Educational Law from St. Mary’s University School of Law. Ms. Ariana used to be a middle school English and Special Education Teacher at Northside Independent School District.

Ms. Ariana has a passion for working with all kids. She meets them where they are and helps them grow. Ms. Ariana has a level of patience that is unmatched. She strives to make camp welcoming, so all kids have a positive experience at camp.

Summer Camp & After School Counselors

At Karate International San Antonio our staff are hand picked. We look for staff who have experience working with kids, have younger siblings, enjoy being around kids, train at our dojo in our adult program, or have siblings who train with us. While our summer camp counselors are a seasonal position during the summer time only, our after school counselors are selected from our summer camp staff.

All employees with our Summer Camp and After School Programs are First Aid and CPR certified in infants, children, and adults. Additionally staff go through a full day staff training reviewing games, transitioning to different activities, active monitoring, safety, handling behaviors.

Within camp we have a few roles, Head Counselors who help Ms. Ariana run the day to day of camp, we have Counselors who help run each group of campers through their day following a detailed lesson plan, and we have Interns who assist with camp and buddy up with shy kids to help them get through their day at camp.
